Advocacy
- Advocating on behalf of the individuals that we serve to ensure his or her needs are met.
- Ensuring those individuals are treated with respect and dignity regardless of their barriers.
Adult Guardianship
- Ensuring acceptable quality of care and recognizing abuse and neglect.
- Linking individuals to resources and facilities available in the community.
- Providing information to judges about placement outcomes and services.
Community Liaison
- Performing liaison work on behalf of the individuals
- Serving as liaison between other service providers, internal departments, judges, attorneys, and social and professional entities.
Crisis Support
- Our crisis line gives individuals 24/7 support during a crisis.
- Providing individualized support and short-term counseling.
Dispute Resolution- Mediation
- Assisting parties in reaching an agreement before going to court.
- Neutrality by assisting the parties to reach an agreement, and putting that agreement in writing before going to court.
- We are not allowed to give legal advice during party negotiations.
Notary Public
- Providing a mobile service for witness signatures on court forms or other related documents.
Translation- Interpretation
- Translating and interpreting documents orally, verbally, written in French or Haitian-Creole with various departments or providers on behalf of the individuals.
Pro Se Coordinator
- Assisting in filing family law case forms.
- We are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice.
- Helping with completing, filling, notarizing, and delivering a petition to the clerk of the court’s office.
Private Process Server
- Delivering a summons or a copy of a petition to be delivered for court cases
Veterans in-home respite relief
- 24 hours temporary skilled care for bed bound veterans with needed personal care assistance, monitoring, observing and daily activities as a relief for their loved ones and caregivers.
